Joe’s Page

Joe Larson has been a fan of Lego since he got his first bricks at the wee age of four.

Joe never really had a “dark age” where he put the brick away, because as a toy collector, he was always purchasing more Lego when the opportunity arose. Things started to take shape when he discovered the AFOL community and joined a local group of AFOLs (Adult Fans Of Lego.)

Joe builds in any theme, but is an incredibly slow and tedious builder. His favorite era is Classic 70’s & 80’s build tech, so many of his MOCs are directly related to that era, in either design, color, or general inspiration. His favorite and/or award winning builds are vignettes, which usually end up as trophies for AFOL convetions, and as such end up given to someone else.

A sample of his work is below:

“First” yellow castle, from the ’71/’72 Samsonite Lego Catalog.
